1.1 Cheques should be made payable to GDF Home Energy Assessors Ltd.
1.2 Our quotations are valid for 2 months. All costs quoted are excluding VAT unless stated otherwise.
1.3 Our invoices are due for payment within 30 days from date of invoice unless previously agreed in writing. Please assist us in keeping our prices down by ensuring payments are made within our terms.
1.4 Certificates are dispatched on full payment of our invoices, unless previously agreed in writing. We will issue you with a DRAFT specification along with the invoice, any issued reports marked DRAFT are for discussion only and not to be used for submission purposes.
1.5 We reserve the right to charge 2% interest per month plus administration & legal costs on unpaid invoices.
1.6 We are required to keep printed copies of plans on file for audit purposes and consequently do not return plans sent to us, unless previously agreed in writing.
1.7 Prices quoted are for the services detailed. Additional work is charged at our hourly rate.
1.8 We shall not be liable for consequential or indirect losses and the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 is excluded from our liability. Any claims are limited to the value of our contracted services.
1.9 These Terms & Conditions shall supersede all other written or oral communications between us and any dispute or claim shall be governed by the laws of England and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts
2. Energy Reports & EPC’s
2.1 The price quoted assumes we are in receipt of detailed plans together with detailed specification or our completed SAP forms (available upon request). If your property does not pass SAP requirements we will make a limited number of amendments to achieve a pass. We do however reserve the right to charge an additional amount based on our hourly rate should a larger amount of additional work be required.
2.2 Energy Calculations are provided for checking compliance with Building Regulations only and should not be used as a design tool. Where energy saving costs are given, they are for guidance purposes only and should not be construed to be quotation or estimate and should be subsequently substantiated by proper competitive quotations or estimates.
2.3 Where we are not in receipt of full information we may have to make some specification assumptions, therefore please refer to the completed calculations to confirm these assumptions are correct before using this information.
2.4 Our software is government approved. Any errors, omissions or deficiencies in the approved software are expressly omitted from our liability.
2.5 Our recommendations are to assist in achieving Building Regulations compliance and specialist advice should be sought confirming that proposed heating and ventilation systems for example are suitable.
2.6 On completion of the property build we are accredited to produce EPC’s from our Design Stage SAP Calculations. Please ensure we are notified in writing of any changes to the design or specification of the property prior to the EPC being produced and our pro-forma is duly completed with the additional information listed therein. Prices quoted for EPC’s assumes no changes from the original Design Stage calculations apart from air leakage rates and information of exact boiler / heating / ventilation systems fitted.
2.7 We normally send SAP Calculations via email, if you prefer a printed copy please let us know.
2.8 All new build properties use individual construction details which will need to be completed, signed and returned to us before we can issue an EPC
